Derby Day breakfast

I was lucky enough to celebrate the beginning of the Spring Racing Carnival with a lovely breakfast hosted by Marks & Spencer and supported by Shopping Links.

Hosted at Entrecôte in South Yarra and filled with fresh blooms, an obligatory flower wall, and beautiful crockery reminiscent of a London high tea, the event was the perfect way to kick off Derby Day. Guests were treated to flowing champagne and beautiful food including fluffy chocolate croissants, salmon tartlets, macarons and lemon tarts (sidenote: lemons tarts are probably one of my favourite treats, but unfortunately I was too busy talking and taking pictures to actually try one – surely the sign of good company and a great event!).

Given it was Derby Day, I embraced the black and white tradition and paired my favourite Lover culottes with a simple white top to keep the look ‘on theme’ but minimal. Given my strong – and well-documented – penchant for rose gold, I completed the look with a rose gold flower crown from Forever New and my favourite rose gold Mimco necklace.

I had a wonderful morning celebrating Spring Racing, thanks for having me Marks & Spencer and Shopping Links!
